Crystal Lodge

Blue Mountains Health Retreat

In the News

Greetings to you all,

We were finally ready to unveil the new and improved Crystal Lodge. We were incredibly proud, excited and joyous to be able to give you this fabulous news.

We would like to take this opportunity to really thank all of you who have encouraged and supported us with phone calls and cards over the past year, they have kept the fire burning and constantly reminded us how much we enjoyed and have missed this interaction with you. They were instrumental in our decision to continue something that we have found incredibly rewarding and fulfilling.

Our departure from the old building was sudden, unsettling and difficult. This was made even more difficult by the shocking discovery that it was inaccurately reported in five different newspapers spread out over Sydney that Crystal Lodge was for sale which was absolutely Not True. Crystal Lodge has never been for sale, only the building which we leased since 1987. Some grieving and healing was necessary for us in order to close that chapter in our journey with Crystal Lodge.

In hindsight this move was something that was both necessary and long overdue. In our experience the universe will often give us the push we need to make changes that are challenging and for the greater good. The past year has been a time of well earned relaxation combined with deep soul searching on what we wanted for our future. We have also been blessed with the arrival of our first great grand child Benji, whom we have been able to enjoy more fully as a result of the extra time we have had.

We were so proud to invite you to come and share a beautiful space with us and we were sure that you would have felt at home. Rune and myself are still here as well as other family members you may have met such as our daughters Zenita and Rosita and our granddaughter Ellen.

As you have noticed its written int he past tense - What Happened? Three days prior to the takeover the owner announced that "the deal is off", he changed his mind and no longer wants to rent of sell, even though the building has been for sale for nearly ten years.

So here we are Crystal Lodge is homeless for now, we will continue to look for a suitable home and will keep this news page open. We look forward to your good wishes and encouragement.

If there is somebody out there wishing to join us in our adventure with a common goal to make a possitive difference in peoples lives, please contact us.

We hope to see you soon.

Warm Regards,

Lilian and Rune
